Water is a part of our being; it nourishes, soothes, and is filled with beautiful mystery. When underwater, the real world fades away for a moment, and the rules of age, beauty and gravity no longer apply. It offers the opportunity to create a world of our own and becomes a creative playground; a blank canvas that we can paint, draw and illustrate through photography. Creating something new and unique; from the divine connection between a mother and child, to a symbol of personal freedom and strength through suspended weightlessness.
An underwater photography experience is a mixture of art, creativity, photography and YOU to create a breath-taking art piece that you will love for years to come.
Step One

Let’s dive straight in…
Contact Liesel Edis Photography now to lock in your preferred date and time. This is when we can start collaborating about your creative underwater shoot. The look, the feel and what you want to achieve with your portrait.
Step Two
PRE-SHOOT CONSULTATION
Let’s make sure you get the most out of your experience.
Discuss your ideal underwater imagery and thoughts you have for your dream shoot. We can either do this over the phone, via zoom, or best off, in person. I can get to know you a little better and we can design your shoot together. Everything from the look, the style, what to wear and what to expect. A few days before the shoot we will send you the designed storyboard for you to get a little bit excited!
Step Three
PHOTO DAY
Now we are excited!
Arrive knowing everything is ready to go. Makeup if desired, wardrobe ready. Now it is time to jump in the pool and enjoy some fun being photographed underwater. Knowing that all care is taken when shooting in the water. There is no need to rush and there may be a few laughs when we come to the surface.
Step Four
PROOF SHEET & ORDERING
Choosing your favourites.
24 hours after your underwater experience. A proof sheet of your photo shoot will be provided to you - to choose your favourites. Sometimes this can be a little difficult as there may be too many that are your favourites. If you prefer this can be done in the studio.
The custom editing process begins with love and care. Once we are all happy with the end result the images will be ordered to be printed with our trusted printing manufacturer.
Step Five
COLLECTION
They are all yours.
Around 10 days after your images have been finalised, your fine art products and images will be ready to collect from the studio and ready to hang on your walls.
